Yes, after three and a half months, we’re finally posting this to the internet.
We shot this after classes and on weekends over J-Term. It follows a similar premise to a poorly-shot one-joke short we did at the beginning of Freshman year, except we added zombies. And used a GL-1. And there was much rejoicing.
Sure, it’s still far from perfect…audio is still our weak point, and the visual effects were all done by me in Photoshop while I was taking notes in class. But we learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and considering how far a step up this is even from “Wii for Wendetta”, it only goes to suggest that “Crockland”, will be even better.
There’s the Google Video version above, or there’s also a YouTube version. The Google version may take longer to load, but it’s slightly higher quality. The YouTube version, on the other hand, may be choppy and crappy, but at least the quality’s low enough to make the visual effects look halfway decent.
So, watch and enjoy (or detest, if you must), and let us know what you think! And as soon as you’re done watching this, run, don’t walk, to the nearest theatre and see “Hot Fuzz”, because it is brilliant.
